Mystery Blogger Award

mystery blogger award

I’m not sure why I’ve been nominated for this but I know who dunnit – it was Jennifer Paetsch.  Thank you, Jennifer, you absolute enigma.  This award was created by another enigma – Okoto Enigma and you can find her blog here.

Here are the enigmatic rules:

  1. Post the award logo/image on your blog.
  2. Thank whoever nominated you and give a link to their blog.
  3. Mention the creator of the award and give a link as well.
  4. Nominate 10 – 20 deserving bloggers and notify your nominees by commenting on their blog.
  5. Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice; including one weird or funny question.

Here are the questions Jennifer asked me –

1. You found something in a drawer you forgot. What is it and what is it for?

I’m not sure but if it’s shiny I’ll make it into a necklace, eventually.

2. Favorite day of the year?

The other day, that was quite nice.

3. Cake or death?

Death by cake? Mmmm…

4. Do you prefer spicy, sweet, or savory?

Did I mention to you before that I was moody..? And indecisive..?

5. How many pets have you had in you life and what were they? Tell us about them!

Awww, three dogs, two ducks and a cat.  Last night I dreamt they all morphed together to make one weird looking thing but I really loved it.  Whatever the hell it was.  Then it got its head stuck in a hole and I woke up.  I’m still quite worried about whether it managed to get free.  Save the… Dogduckcat thing.

These are my nominees for the award:

My Inky Days

Draliman on Life

The Whitechapel Whelk

Zoolon Audio

Ink Flamingos

Unbolt Me

And these are my questions for them:

  1. What size shoes do you wear?
  2. What would you do if you looked up now and saw a huge spider just in front of you?
  3. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being not very far to 10 being HELL YEAH, WE RULE THE UNIVERSE, MOFO’S!!! How far do you think the human race has progressed since people learned to stand on their back legs?
  4. Tell me a secret, I promise to keep it to myself.
  5. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck cars?

Friendly Chat

Little Monster Girl invited me to join her Friendly Chat this week.  There are four questions and these are my answers:

Do you sleep with your sheets tucked in or out?

I don’t have sheets, I have a duvet, which wakes up once I am asleep and moves itself randomly around the bed into weird positions.  Either that or my partner is trying to freeze/suffocate me to death in the night.  There is also my aging cat, who is too old to leap now so he hauls himself up onto the duvet by using his claws as crampons.

Have you stolen a street sign before?

Let me think.  No.  How do you even do that?  Where I live they are usually cemented into the ground.  I would need some sort of industrial machinery, surely?

Do you cut out coupons but then never use them?

I don’t cut them out but I do receive them through the post.  As a general rule I put them somewhere safe and throw them away about two years later.  If I do actually use them I consider myself to be overdue for a knighthood for services to humanity.

Do you have freckles?

Yes but they are moles and ‘beauty spots’ and they are all over my body.  What do you mean, this doesn’t count?  Okay, no then.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful that all the things I worried about last week never turned out to be worth worrying about in the end.  In the coming week I am looking forward to a cake and culture afternoon I have planned with a friend I have not seen for a criminally long time.  Though I am worried that there may not be cake.
